Category: Network Monitoring (RMON)

Description: Monitors CrossStream network management platform status, data streams, and cross-connect configuration.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CROSSSTREAM-MIB?

CROSSSTREAM-MIB is an Artel Video Systems (enterprise OID 4962, CrossStream video-transport product line) proprietary MIB reporting device identity and ATM/ASI video-stream capacity. Its objects cover device name/serial number/model/firmware-hardware version/time/uptime, IP address/netmask/gateway/host address, a device-reset action, a VSAR (Video Stream Adaptation/Routing?) reset action and configuration table (index, type, action), and used/active/max ATM-stream and ASI-stream counts. As a configuration/performance MIB it lets an administrator confirm how much ATM/ASI video-stream capacity remains available on an Artel CrossStream device. It is deployed on the Artel Video Systems CrossStream product line. Engineers can download the CROSSSTREAM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CROSSSTREAM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Artel Video Systems CrossStream product line

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks activeAtmStreamsNumber against maxAtmStreamsNumber to confirm remaining video-stream capacity on an Artel CrossStream device.

What Can Be Monitored

  • ATM/ASI video-stream capacity utilization
