What Is AVAYA-RTP-MIB?
AVAYA-RTP-MIB defines an interface to RTP media-stream QoS statistics on Avaya VoIP-enabled devices, designed for use by Avaya Services and network operators. It exposes call-quality data such as jitter, packet loss, and MOS score for recent and last-bad-QoS RTP sessions, along with configurable QoS thresholds and dedicated traps for bad-QoS terminations. Its monitoring focus is software/service quality rather than physical hardware - it is used to catch voice-call degradation and repeated bad-QoS conditions on a VoIP platform. It is specific to Avaya's internal VoIP stack rather than an external standard MIB. It is deployed on Avaya IP telephony gateways and media servers, where AVAYA-RTP-MIB SNMP monitoring supports voice-quality troubleshooting and helps catch degraded calls in real time.

Monitoring Examples
An admin would configure thresholds in avRtpThresholdTable and then, when a bad-QoS trap fires, poll avRtpSumTable for the terminated session's statistics and avRtpSessionLocInetAddr/avRtpSessionLocInetAddrType and avRtpSessionRemInetAddr/avRtpSessionRemInetAddrType to identify the local and remote endpoints involved. avRtpLookupTable would then be used to correlate that trap back to the specific RTP session for deeper analysis.
