eventTableOverwrite

Module: ASCEND-TRAP

OID (symbolic): ASCEND-TRAP::eventTableOverwrite

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.529.0.16

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: A new event has overwritten an unread event. This trap is sent only for systems which support Ascend's accounting MIB. Once sent, additional overwrites will not cause another trap to be sent until at least 1 table's worth of new events have occured.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' ASCEND-TRAP::eventTableOverwrite
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.529.0.16

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:54965->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (115993781) 13 days, 10:12:17.81
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: ASCEND-TRAP::eventTableOverwrite
