tmnxSubHostInconsistentAtmTdOvr

Module: TIMETRA-SUBSCRIBER-MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-SUBSCRIBER-MGMT-MIB::tmnxSubHostInconsistentAtmTdOvr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.33.0.20

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: The tmnxSubHostInconsistentAtmTdOvr notification is sent when an AAA server (e.g. a RADIUS server) specifies an ATM Traffic Descriptor override for a subscriber host while it has already specified another one for another host on the same ATM Virtual Circuit.

The specified host will not use this traffic descriptor; it will use the same as the other host instead.

The configuration of the AAA server must be made consistent such that all subscriber hosts on a given ATM VC have the same ATM traffic descriptors.

What is tmnxSubHostInconsistentAtmTdOvr?

This is a notification (alert message) sent when an AAA server attempts to apply different ATM Traffic Descriptor overrides to multiple hosts on the same virtual circuit, which the system cannot support. The system resolves this conflict by forcing all hosts on the circuit to use the same traffic descriptor. An operator would receive this alert when subscriber configurations from the RADIUS server contain conflicting QoS settings that need manual review.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-SUBSCRIBER-MGMT-MIB::tmnxSubHostInconsistentAtmTdOvr
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.33.0.20

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:
