SCA-DIAG-MIB is a Securicor Arisoft vendor MIB providing diagnostic self-test and error logging capabilities for their WAN routers. It exposes a diagnostic event log table capturing timestamped entries with severity level, error code, associated interface index, textual description, and remedial advice, along with summary counters for total and error entries and the last log update time. Its monitoring purpose is directly software/hardware fault status: the diagnostic log is the primary mechanism for surfacing self-test failures, interface faults, or other internal error conditions detected by the router's diagnostic subsystem. It is a self-contained diagnostic MIB, generally consulted alongside standard IF-MIB interface objects via the diagListIfindex cross-reference. It is deployed on Securicor Arisoft WAN router products for ongoing self-diagnosis and fault reporting. Engineers can download the SCA-DIAG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

An administrator would poll diagListNumberOfErrorEntries and diagListLastUpdateTime to quickly see if new diagnostic errors have been logged since the last check, then walk diagListTable/diagListEntry to read diagListLevel, diagListCode, and diagListDescription for each event. A new high-severity diagListLevel entry referencing a specific diagListIfindex, paired with diagListAdvice text, would guide the operator toward the affected interface and the recommended remediation step for a detected fault.
