What Is Wellfleet-MCT1-MIB?
Wellfleet-MCT1-MIB is a Wellfleet/Bay Networks vendor MIB for multi-channel T1 (MCT1) WAN interface cards, which allow a single T1 line to be split into multiple independently-configured DS0 channel groups. It exposes interface configuration, DS0 channel allocation/grouping, and physical-layer performance statistics such as errored seconds or line quality counters. For hardware monitoring, it is central to confirming that T1 line and channel hardware is operating correctly; tracking channel allocation changes and rising error counts can reveal a failing T1 span or framing/clocking problem. It complements the standard DS1/T1 MIB (RFC 2495/1406-family) with Wellfleet-specific channel and card management objects. It is deployed on Wellfleet/Bay Networks routers using channelized T1 WAN interfaces in enterprise or carrier access networks. Engineers can download the Wellfleet-MCT1-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Wellfleet-MCT1-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Wellfleet/Bay Networks router
- multi-channel T1 WAN interface card
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll the DS0 channel allocation table to confirm each configured sub-channel is correctly mapped and active, and watch T1 line performance counters for errored seconds or loss-of-signal events. A rising error count on one DS0 channel while others remain clean would point to a localized line or hardware fault on that channel. No sample object names were provided for this MIB, so this description is inferred from the stated short description.
What Can Be Monitored
- DS0 channel allocation
- T1 line error counters
- channel configuration status
- T1 interface performance statistics

RFC description
Manages T1 multi-channel interface modules with clock selection and configuration on Wellfleet network devices.
Start monitoring Wellfleet/Bay Networks router, multi-channel T1 WAN interface card (DS0-channel/line-quality status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
