Category: Power and Environmental Monitoring

Description: Monitors WebGraph air quality sensor measurements including CO2 concentration, VOC levels, and environmental conditions.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is WebGraph-Air-Quality-US-MIB?

This is a vendor-specific proprietary MIB from WebGraph, a maker of networked environmental monitoring appliances used to watch conditions in data centers, server rooms, and equipment closets. It exposes air-quality related sensor data (using US unit scaling) including per-sensor identification, measured environmental values, and derived binary alarm states. Although branded 'air quality,' the exposed objects are heavily temperature-value oriented, and the module supports monitoring hardware/environmental status by letting an operator track whether sensor readings have crossed configured thresholds indicating an HVAC or environmental control problem. There is no documented dependency on other MIBs; the objects are rooted entirely under WebGraph's own enterprise MIB tree. It is typically deployed as a small networked sensor appliance placed inside racks or rooms to feed environmental readings into a central monitoring system. Engineers can download the WebGraph-Air-Quality-US-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in WebGraph-Air-Quality-US-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • WebGraph networked environmental/air-quality sensor appliance

Monitoring Examples

An administrator polling the wtWebGraphAirQualitySensorTable/wtWebGraphAirQualitySensorEntry (indexed by wtWebGraphAirQualitySensorNo) can enumerate each attached sensor, then read the corresponding wtWebGraphAirQualityTempValueTable/Entry for the current measured value. The wtWebGraphAirQualityBinaryTempValueTable exposes a threshold-derived alarm bit per sensor, so a transition to the alarm state signals an environmental excursion, such as a server room overheating due to HVAC failure. The wtWebGraphAirQualityTempValuePktTable suggests readings are also delivered in a packetized form for streaming/logging purposes.

What Can Be Monitored

  • configured sensor count
  • per-sensor temperature/air-quality reading
  • binary threshold alarm state
  • packetized sensor data stream
