Description: Manages Ubiquoss Link Aggregation Group configuration, member ports, and LACP protocol status.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is UBQS-LAG-MIB?
UBQS-LAG-MIB is a Ubiquoss enterprise MIB implementing management of IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Groups (LAG/LACP) on Ubiquoss switching platforms. It exposes aggregation group membership and status data along with a redundancy/backup-port mechanism and associated failure notifications. It is used to monitor the operational (software/protocol) status of link aggregation on the switch, tracking LACP group state and, notably, whether a configured backup port has taken over from a failed active LAG member, which is a direct fault/hardware-link-status indicator. As a vendor implementation of the standard 802.3ad LAG concept, it conceptually depends on the IEEE 802.3ad specification even though it is a proprietary object set. It is typically deployed on Ubiquoss access/aggregation switches where uplinks are bundled into LAGs for bandwidth and redundancy. Engineers can download the UBQS-LAG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in UBQS-LAG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ubiquoss access/aggregation switch
Monitoring Examples
The ubiAgg subtree groups the link aggregation objects that report LAG membership and status, while ubiRedundancyPort and notifications under ubiBackupIntfMIBNotifications indicate when a configured backup port has taken over from a failed active LAG member. An admin monitors these notifications to detect a LAG member link failure and confirm that automatic failover to the backup port occurred.
What Can Be Monitored
- LAG group membership
- LACP protocol status
- redundancy/backup port state
- aggregation failure notifications

RFC description
Link Aggregation MIB module for managing 802.3ad link aggregation functionality in Ubiquoss devices.
Start monitoring Ubiquoss access/aggregation switch (802.3ad LAG/LACP membership and backup-port failover status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
