Category: Ubiquoss Enterprise Networking
Description: Defines Ubiquoss product OID registrations for switch, router, and access network equipment lines.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is UBQS-PRODUCTS-MIB?
UBQS-PRODUCTS-MIB is a Ubiquoss (networking equipment vendor) enterprise product-identity MIB that belongs purely to the sysObjectID registration tree rather than being a data-bearing management module. It defines a hierarchy of OID assignments used to identify specific Ubiquoss switch, router, and access-equipment product models, rather than exposing operational or performance data itself. As such it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware or software runtime status; its function is indirect, letting a network management system map a discovered device's sysObjectID to a specific Ubiquoss product line so the correct operational vendor MIB can then be loaded. It has no explicit dependency beyond the standard SNMPv2-SMI enterprise-numbering convention it extends. Typical deployment context is asset-inventory and device-identification systems managing fleets of Ubiquoss switches, routers, and broadband access equipment. Engineers can download the UBQS-PRODUCTS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in UBQS-PRODUCTS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ubiquoss switches
- Ubiquoss routers
- Ubiquoss access network equipment
Monitoring Examples
This is a pure product-identification (OID-registration) module with no runtime data objects or tables of its own, which is why sample_objects is empty. A network management system uses the OIDs here only to match a device's sysObjectID.0 value to a specific Ubiquoss product model, then loads the corresponding operational MIB for actual monitoring. No monitoring scenario can be honestly constructed from this module in isolation.
