What Is TRANZEO-MIB?
TRANZEO-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Tranzeo Wireless Technologies for its sixth-generation wireless bridge/access-point product line, modeling radio-link signal quality, device reset control, and associated-station tracking. It exposes RSSI and noise-floor objects — signallow/signalaverage/signalhigh and noiselow/noiseaverage/noisehigh, each in dBm on the current channel — a probeResetControl object supporting warm boot, cold boot, and a TFTP-based autoconfig reboot, and station-association objects (stnNumber for the count of associated stations on an AP, plus a per-station table via assocStation with stnIpAddr and a now-deprecated stnMacAddr). Because wireless bridge links are highly sensitive to signal degradation, monitoring the RSSI/noise trio lets an operator watch for a shrinking signal-to-noise margin — a falling signalaverage combined with a rising noiseaverage — that predicts link instability before it drops, while stnNumber tracks whether expected client/bridge associations are present. It is a small, self-contained enterprise MIB with no dependency beyond RFC1155-SMI, deployed on Tranzeo wireless bridge and access-point hardware in point-to-point or point-to-multipoint outdoor wireless links. Network engineers can perform a TRANZEO-MIB download to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TRANZEO-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Tranzeo Wireless Technologies sixth-generation wireless bridge/access-point products
Monitoring Examples
An operator polls signalaverage and noiseaverage to compute the effective signal-to-noise margin on a Tranzeo wireless bridge link; a shrinking margin trending toward zero would indicate an alignment, weather, or interference problem likely to cause the link to drop.
What Can Be Monitored
- RSSI (low/average/high) signal strength
- noise floor (low/average/high)
- device reset control (warm/cold boot, TFTP autoconfig)
- count of associated stations
- per-station IP address association table
