Category: Enterprise SMI and Textual Conventions, Wireless LAN Management
Description: Defines Trapeze Networks client session SNMP textual conventions for wireless client data types.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-CLIENT-SESSION-TC?
This is a Trapeze Networks (a wireless LAN vendor later acquired by Juniper Networks) MIB module that defines SNMP textual conventions (TC) for wireless client session data types, used by other Trapeze wireless-switch MIBs. As a TC-only module it does not itself define runtime data objects, tables, or notifications; instead it establishes shared data type definitions (e.g., for client identifiers, session states, or timing values) that client-session-related MIBs elsewhere in the Trapeze MIB tree import and reuse. Because it contains no instantiable objects, it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status on its own—its value is purely in providing consistent type definitions for the MIBs that do expose wireless client session monitoring data. It is a dependency for other Trapeze Networks wireless-switch MIBs that reference client session textual conventions, so it must be loaded alongside those modules to resolve type imports. It would be present wherever Trapeze Networks (or successor Juniper) wireless LAN switches/controllers are managed via SNMP, and the TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-CLIENT-SESSION-TC MIB must be loaded on the management station to resolve those shared type imports.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-CLIENT-SESSION-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Trapeze Networks (later Juniper) wireless LAN switches/controllers
Monitoring Examples
This is a textual-conventions-only module with no data objects, tables, or notifications of its own, so it exposes nothing to poll directly; it exists solely to be imported by other Trapeze client-session MIBs.

RFC description
Provides textual conventions for wireless client session management and access types used by Trapeze Networks wireless switches.
Start monitoring Trapeze Networks (later Juniper) wireless LAN switches/controllers (shared client-session textual conventions, no data objects) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
