Description: Manages Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent 7750 SR call trace diagnostic session configuration and output.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TIMETRA-CALLTRACE-MIB?

TIMETRA-CALLTRACE-MIB is Nokia's SROS MIB for configuring and managing Call Trace diagnostic sessions on 7750 SR routers, used to capture detailed per-subscriber or per-call signaling/traffic traces for troubleshooting. It exposes profile tables defining trace configuration (name, description, row status) along with objects tracking storage usage, such as the maximum number of trace files, files currently used, and files still available, plus the primary compact-flash storage location. Its monitoring value is around diagnostic-feature and storage software status: an operator can confirm a trace profile is correctly configured and check whether trace file storage capacity is close to exhaustion, which would prevent new traces from being captured. It is a Nokia SROS proprietary MIB without a stated dependency on external standard MIBs. It is typically deployed by carrier operations/support teams actively troubleshooting a subscriber session or call issue on a 7750 SR platform. Engineers can download the TIMETRA-CALLTRACE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TIMETRA-CALLTRACE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Nokia 7750 SR (SROS) router

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would check tmnxCallTraceUsedFilesNumber against tmnxCallTraceMaxFilesNumber and tmnxCallTraceAvailFilesNumber to see how much call-trace storage capacity remains before starting a new capture, and confirm tmnxCallTraceProfileTable entries (via tmnxCallTraceProfileName and tmnxCallTraceProfileRowStatus) are active and correctly described. A tmnxCallTraceAvailFilesNumber approaching zero would warn the operator that older trace files on tmnxCallTracePrimaryCFlash need to be cleared before a new diagnostic trace can be captured.

What Can Be Monitored

  • call trace profile configuration and status
  • number of trace files used vs available
  • maximum trace file capacity
  • trace storage location (compact flash)
