Category: Miscellaneous and Generic MIBs

Description: Defines management objects for the SC5520 series network device configuration and status.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SC5520-MIB?

SC5520-MIB is a General DataComm (built on GDCCMN-MIB/GDCMACRO-MIB) proprietary MIB for the SC5520 DSU/CSU, reporting unit configuration. Its unit-configuration table, keyed by index, records MIB version, NMS-510 compatibility mode, point-to-point sentry time, alarm-hysteresis time, meeting-point remote-response interval, DTE port type, DTE CTS delay (and extended variant), backplane fractional-number/ifIndex, firmware level, front-panel inhibit/enable flags, remote-loop allowed/pattern/timeout, HDLC-invert flag, EIA remote/line loopback, piggyback-detect flag, rate-broadcast flag, and circuit type. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm loopback and DTE-interface settings on a General DataComm SC5520 DSU/CSU. It is deployed on the General DataComm SC5520 DSU/CSU. Engineers can download the SC5520-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SC5520-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • General DataComm SC5520 DSU/CSU

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks sc5520RemLoopAllowed and sc5520DteCtsDelay to confirm loopback and DTE timing configuration on a General DataComm SC5520 DSU/CSU.

What Can Be Monitored
