Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is OCCAM-MLT-MIB?
OCCAM-MLT-MIB is an Occam Networks (built on OCCAM-REG-MODULE) proprietary MIB performing MLT (Metallic Line Testing) on customer copper access lines. Its objects cover a test identifier/type/port, DC-resistance range, loop-length multiplier, loop-detect threshold, last-test status, error text, a status-results table (alarm, hook state, transversal/longitudinal current, tip/ring/tip-ring voltage, Vdd), and a test-results table (alarm, hook state, Vdd, active-mode voltages). As a diagnostic MIB it lets an administrator run and review metallic line tests to diagnose copper-loop faults on an Occam Networks access line. It is deployed on Occam Networks broadband access equipment (metallic line testing). Engineers can download the OCCAM-MLT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in OCCAM-MLT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Occam Networks broadband access equipment (metallic line testing)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator triggers an MLT test and reads mltStatusResultsTable to diagnose a copper-loop fault on an Occam Networks access line.
What Can Be Monitored
- metallic (copper) line test results
