prtinputmaxcapacity

Module: LaserJet-Series-5000-MIB

OID (symbolic): LaserJet-Series-5000-MIB::prtinputmaxcapacity

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.2.8.2.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The maximum capacity of the input sub-unit in input sub-unit capacity units (PrtCapacityUnitTC). There is no convention associated with the media itself so this value reflects claimed capacity. If this input sub-unit can reliably sense this value, the value is sensed by the printer and may not be changed by management requests; otherwise, the value may be written (by a Remote Control Panel or a Management Application). The value (-1) means other and specifically indicates that the sub-unit places no restrictions on this parameter. The value (-2) means unknown. Refer to Internet Draft Printer MIB, expiring Sept. 1997 for more details. Additional information: This is specified assuming 20 pound paper for the paper trays. Note that the LaserJet Series 5000 engine does not distinguish between 500-sheet optional trays and 250-sheet optional trays; therefore, it is impossible for the return value for this object to be always guaranteed correct. However, if a 500-sheet optional tray is installed, it must be the last tray installed. Therefore, the value returned for this object will be guaranteed correct for all trays but the last optional tray, and '500' will always be returned for the last optional tray.
