What Is HP-SN-IP-VRRP-MIB?

HP-SN-IP-VRRP-MIB is an HP-branded SNMP module inherited from the Foundry Networks (SN, ServerNet) product lineage, defining objects for VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) management and failover state on HP ServerNet-heritage routing switches. An operator would poll snVrrpIfTable/snVrrpIf2Table to see per-interface VRRP configuration such as snVrrpIfMaxNumVridPerIntf, and walk snVrrpVirRtrTable/snVrrpVirRtr2Table to determine each virtual router's current state (e.g., Master vs. Backup) and priority. Subscribing to snVrrpIfStateChangeTrap would alert the NMS the instant a router transitions roles, for example if the current Master goes down and a Backup takes over as the active default gateway. snVrrpGroupOperMode and snVrrpGroupOperModeVrrpextended reveal whether the device is running standard or extended VRRP mode, which affects how many virtual router groups are supported, and snVrrpClearVrrpStat would be used to reset statistics counters after a maintenance window.
