What Is ExaltComProducts?

ExaltComProducts is a companion enterprise MIB module that registers OID identifiers for specific Exalt Communications microwave backhaul product models, sitting beneath the vendor's ExaltComm root namespace. Like other product-registration modules, it does not define runtime data objects itself; it exists purely so that an SNMP agent's sysObjectID can identify which specific Exalt hardware model is being managed. It therefore has no direct monitoring role for hardware/software status such as uptime or RF performance — that data is exposed by Exalt's functional MIBs once the product model has been identified via these OIDs. It depends only on the base SNMPv2-SMI registration conventions and the ExaltComm enterprise root under which it is nested. It is used whenever a management station reads sysObjectID from an Exalt radio to determine the exact product model before applying model-specific monitoring templates. Browsing the ExaltComProducts OID tree lets an engineer quickly confirm which specific Exalt hardware model corresponds to a given sysObjectID value.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ExaltComProducts. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples

This module contains only product-model OID registrations and no runtime objects, so there is no monitoring-for-anomaly scenario to describe; a management station would instead match a polled sysObjectID against these OIDs purely to identify the specific Exalt backhaul radio model in use.
