trapAuth
Module: ExaltComProducts
OID (symbolic): ExaltComProducts::trapAuth
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.25651.1.2.2.17.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: EnableStatusT
Access: read-write
Description: Authentication trap enable(1)/disable(0). This is an SNMP standard trap when password information for SNMP is incorrect. See Web, Administration, SNMP, Traps, Authentication Trap.
What is trapAuth?
Read-write flag controlling whether the radio sends the standard SNMP authentication-failure trap when it receives a request with bad community/credentials; the source DESCRIPTION's own enable/disable numbering is inconsistent with sibling traps in this MIB, so treat the setting as a plain on/off toggle. Enable it to be alerted to unauthorized or misconfigured SNMP access attempts.
