Description: Manages IS-IS routing protocol configuration and adjacency state for Dell Networking switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is DELL-NETWORKING-ISIS-MIB?
DELL-NETWORKING-ISIS-MIB is a Dell Networking OS proprietary MIB configuring IS-IS routing protocol behavior on Dell EMC Networking switches/routers, with particular focus on overload-bit control. It exposes global controls to set the IS-IS overload bit (for both IPv4 and IPv6 topologies), configure how long overload persists after startup, and whether the router waits for BGP convergence before clearing overload, alongside a per-IS-IS-level table reporting each level's current overload state. As a configuration/protocol-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm whether a router is intentionally signaling IS-IS overload (excluding itself from transit traffic) during a maintenance window or startup grace period. It is deployed on Dell Networking OS switches/routers running IS-IS. Engineers can download the DELL-NETWORKING-ISIS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DELL-NETWORKING-ISIS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Dell Networking OS (Dell EMC) switches/routers running IS-IS
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks dellNetIsisSysLevelOverloadState during a planned maintenance window to confirm the router is correctly signaling IS-IS overload so other routers route around it rather than through it.
What Can Be Monitored
- IS-IS overload-bit state per level (IPv4/IPv6)
