This read-only object reports the current operational status of an input tray, replacing the older PML tray-missing and tray-empty indicators. An admin monitors it to detect conditions like a missing or empty tray before a print job is dispatched to it, keeping in mind this particular model never reports the Available-and-Standby, Available-and-Active, or Unknown status codes. For example, a status flagging tray-missing would tell the admin someone pulled a paper tray out of the printer without reinserting it.
