Description: Defines string data structures and configuration objects used by ATEN PE series PDU management MIBs.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ATEN-PE-CFG-STR?
ATEN-PE-CFG-STR is an ATEN enterprise MIB defining the string/configuration data structures used by ATEN's PE-series power distribution unit (PDU) management MIBs, mounted under enterprises.aten.atenProducts.overip.poweroverip.pe. It exposes device-level electrical telemetry through deviceValueTable (deviceCurrent, deviceVoltage, devicePower, devicePowerDissipation, devicePowerFactor) and equivalent per-outlet telemetry in outletValueTable, alongside a sensorValueTable reporting temperature, humidity, and pressure from up to six environmental sensors. deviceConfigTable and deviceSensorTresholdTable hold minimum/maximum measurement thresholds for current, voltage, power, and environmental readings, while per-outlet objects (outlet1Status through outlet27Status and beyond) allow both status display and remote on/off/reboot control. POP (Power Outlet Protection) and CAP (Current Awareness Protection) objects add configurable overload-protection modes and per-outlet priority for controlled shutdown sequencing. It is deployed on ATEN PE-series switched/metered rack PDUs, and administrators can download the ATEN-PE-CFG-STR MIB file to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ATEN-PE-CFG-STR. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ATEN PE-series managed/switched PDUs
Monitoring Examples
An operator polls deviceCurrent and deviceMaxCurMT to check whether total PDU load is approaching its configured maximum-current threshold, and reviews individual outletNStatus values; an outlet reporting fault(5) alongside device current near its threshold would indicate an overloaded outlet that POP protection may soon shut down.
What Can Be Monitored
- device and per-outlet current/voltage/power/power-factor
- environmental sensor temperature/humidity/pressure
- configurable measurement thresholds
- per-outlet on/off/reboot status
- POP (power protection) and CAP priority mode settings
- door sensor status
