Description: Manages the 3Com SuperStack AS-2000 access switch for port configuration and status monitoring.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is AS-2000?
AS-2000 is a private MIB (enterprise OID 1751) for a wireless Access Server platform, reporting WLAN interface configuration and SNMP access control. Its objects cover the system name and a WLAN-interface table recording network name, MAC address, medium reservation, transmit rate, operating frequency, AP density, closed-system flag, allowed transmit rates/regulatory domains/operating frequencies, capability options, profile code, and wireless-driver name/version, alongside SNMP read/read-write passwords, trap-host address/password, and a per-manager SNMP-access table. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm a WLAN interface's transmit rate and regulatory-domain settings and audit which SNMP managers have access. It is deployed on this vendor's AS-2000 wireless access server platform. Engineers can download the AS-2000 file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AS-2000. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- AS-2000 wireless access server platform
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks pliWlanIfRegulatoryDomainList to confirm an AS-2000 wireless interface is configured for the correct regulatory domain before deployment in a new country.
What Can Be Monitored
- WLAN interface configuration
- SNMP manager access control
