Category: Vendor: 3Com

Description: Manages multi-link networking (MLN) on 3Com routers, providing configuration and statistics for bundled WAN link aggregation connections.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is A3COM-MLN-R1-MIB?

A3COM-MLN-R1-MIB is a legacy 3Com (enterprise OID 43, MLN Multi-Link Network product line) proprietary MIB reporting virtual/physical port configuration and grouping. Its objects cover max port/physical-port counts, save/delete-error counters, a set-status/message pair, a port table (index, type, owner, link, state, primary port, source-address port/media/value, description), and a group table (port, port type, port state, primary port). As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm virtual-port grouping and primary-port assignment on a legacy 3Com MLN device. It is deployed on legacy 3Com MLN (Multi-Link Network) equipment. Engineers can download the A3COM-MLN-R1-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in A3COM-MLN-R1-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy 3Com MLN (Multi-Link Network) equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks a3mlnGrpPrimaryPort to confirm which physical port is the active primary for a virtual port group on a legacy 3Com MLN device.
