Polling a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRateTable/a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRateEntry keyed by a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRateSmtIndex and a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRateIndex returns a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRateByteReceiveRate and a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRateFrameReceiveRate, letting an admin see current throughput per FDDI MAC. Comparing those against a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRatePeakByteReceiveRate and a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRatePeakFrameReceiveRate reveals whether a station is currently near its historical traffic peak, and combined with a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRateByteTransmitRate/a3ComSysSmtFddiMacRatePeakByteTransmitRate helps identify a ring station driving abnormal load. a3ComSysSmtCount gives an overall SMT-level count useful as a quick health summary of the ring.
