Description: Manages ZTE access node QoS ACL rule sets for combined traffic classification and policy enforcement.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZTE-AN-QOSACL-MIB?

ZTE-AN-QOSACL-MIB is a vendor-specific SNMP module from ZTE Corporation for its Access Node (AN) family of broadband access platforms, covering combined Access Control List (ACL) filtering and Quality-of-Service (QoS) policy enforcement. It exposes configuration-style data describing ACL rule sets, traffic-classification criteria, and the QoS actions (rate limiting, priority marking, etc.) bound to matched flows on subscriber and uplink ports. Rather than exposing hardware health metrics, this MIB is used to monitor the software configuration and operational state of the ACL/QoS engine, letting an operator confirm that a given rule set is actually loaded and active on the device rather than merely configured. It presumably depends on other ZTE-AN MIBs (such as interface and VLAN modules) to identify the ports and VLANs to which ACL-QoS policies are attached. It is deployed on ZTE access nodes (DSLAM/OLT-class broadband aggregation equipment) in fixed-line access networks that need per-subscriber traffic policing and filtering. Engineers can download the ZTE-AN-QOSACL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-QOSACL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE Access Node (DSLAM/OLT broadband access device)

Monitoring Examples

No object or table names were captured for this MIB in the source excerpt, so a specific polling walkthrough cannot be given honestly; in practice an operator would poll the ACL rule and QoS-action tables to verify a configured rule is bound to the correct port and actively rate-limiting or classifying traffic, flagging a fault if a rule is defined but shows as unapplied.

What Can Be Monitored

  • ACL rule configuration state
  • QoS classification criteria
  • traffic policy binding to ports
  • rule enable/disable status

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor

Example using zxAnQosAclTrafficStatsPktsHc OID:

Select a ZTE Access Node (DSLAM/OLT broadband access device) (ACL rule-set/QoS-policy-binding config status) as the target host to create a monitor — the SNMP service should be up and running on it. Click New Monitor, then check SNMP Custom on the Favorites tab, click Next, and confirm the host. On the next page, click Select... to open the built-in SNMP MIB Browser and type zxAnQosAclTrafficStatsPktsHc into the Find box to locate it in the OID tree, selecting the specific row/instance you want to monitor since this is a table column, then select it and click OK. The number of packets. This object is a 64-bit version of zxAnQosAclTrafficStatsPkts. On the monitor's Main parameters page you can set the target's SNMP port (default 161), credentials, polling interval, and other settings — see the SNMP Monitor help for details. On the State conditions and Alerting tabs, configure when the monitor should change state and trigger an alert; since this is a Counter64-type OID, Value bounds is the most useful condition here — trigger an alert if the counter increases sharply between polls relative to its normal baseline, since an unexpected spike often reflects a real change in traffic or activity. Click Finish to create the monitor; you can adjust any parameter later.
