What Is ZTE-AN-SMI?
ZTE-AN-SMI defines the Structure of Management Information for ZTE's access node (AN) product family, establishing the top-level OID registration tree, zxAccessNode, under which all ZTE access-node MIB modules are organized. It belongs to the broadband/fiber access networking equipment category and, being an SMI module, contains only organizational OID assignments rather than monitorable objects. It exposes no interfaces, sensors, or fault data of its own, so it cannot be polled to reveal hardware or software status directly -- that role belongs to the specific ZTE access-node MIBs registered beneath this tree. Every ZTE access node product MIB (e.g. OLT/ONU management modules) depends on this module for its place in the enterprise OID space, so engineers who download ZTE-AN-SMI as part of a ZTE OLT/ONU MIB package will find only the zxAccessNode registration root here, not pollable data. It is deployed only as a compile-time dependency in networks using ZTE access-node (e.g. GPON/EPON OLT) equipment.

Monitoring Examples
No sample runtime objects exist for this module since it is purely an SMI structure defining the zxAccessNode OID root for ZTE access-node equipment. There is no direct monitoring scenario for this module itself; actual optical line terminal (OLT) port status, ONU registration, or alarm polling would occur against the specific ZTE access-node MIBs built on this tree. This module functions solely as organizational scaffolding.
