Category: ZTE Access Node (ZTE-AN) Management
Description: Monitors ZTE access node chassis hardware including slots, cards, power supplies, and fan status.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ZTE-AN-CHASSIS-MIB?
ZTE-AN-CHASSIS-MIB is a ZTE enterprise MIB for the physical chassis of ZTE Access Node platforms, used in broadband access equipment such as DSLAM/OLT-class devices. It exposes hardware inventory and status data for the chassis, including slots, cards, power supplies, and fans. Its central use is monitoring hardware health: it lets an administrator confirm that a card is present and functioning in its slot, and specifically check power supply and fan operational status, which are classic indicators of physical equipment failure risk (overheating, power loss) in access node deployments. As a vendor chassis MIB it likely parallels or extends the IETF ENTITY-MIB physical entity model for ZTE-specific hardware. It is typically deployed on ZTE Access Node chassis in telecom or ISP access networks where remote hardware health visibility reduces the need for site visits. Engineers can download the ZTE-AN-CHASSIS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-CHASSIS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE Access Node chassis (DSLAM/OLT-class access equipment)
Monitoring Examples
No object/table names were supplied for this module, so a concrete polling example cannot be grounded in real identifiers; in general terms, an operator would poll per-slot/per-card presence and status objects together with power supply and fan status objects to detect a failed or missing card, a lost power feed, or a stopped fan before it leads to a chassis-wide outage.
What Can Be Monitored
- slot/card presence and status
- power supply status
- fan status
- chassis hardware inventory
