Description: The unique value which identifies this interface of this virtual router in the Tmnx system. This field provides an identifier for virtual router interfaces similar to the ifIndex values used in the mib-2 interfaces table for physical interfaces. The vRtrIfIndex values can be reused for different virtual routers, but are unique within those entries with the same vRtrID.

The vRtrIfIndex value for each virtual interface must remain constant at least from one re-initialization of the system management processor to the next.

What is vRtrIfIndex?

This object uniquely identifies a virtual router interface within the system, serving the same role as ifIndex for physical interfaces but scoped to a specific virtual router. Multiple virtual routers can reuse the same vRtrIfIndex value since each is independent. An operator uses this to reference virtual router interfaces in configuration and monitoring commands.
