vRtrIfBfdTransmitInterval

Module: TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB::vRtrIfBfdTransmitInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.33.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The value of vRtrIfBfdTransmitInterval specifies the BFD transmit interval over this interface.

What is vRtrIfBfdTransmitInterval?

This object specifies the interval in milliseconds at which BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection) control packets are transmitted over an interface. Service providers adjust this parameter to balance between failure detection speed and control traffic overhead; lower values enable faster failure detection but increase bandwidth usage. Proper tuning is critical for IP network availability and sub-second failover.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.33.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB::vRtrIfBfdTransmitInterval

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.33.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB::vRtrIfBfdTransmitInterval.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.33.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> vRtrIfBfdTransmitInterval.1
