What Is TIMETRA-DA-MIB?
TIMETRA-DA-MIB is part of Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent's TIMETRA enterprise MIB family, covering the Delivery Appliance (DA) feature used for Content Delivery Network (CDN) services on 7750 SR routers. It exposes tmnxDASvrGrpTable and tmnxDAGrpTable for configuring server groups and delivery groups, including which card slot a server group is assigned to and its administrative/operational state. It is used to monitor both configuration and hardware/software status of CDN delivery-appliance resources: tmnxDASvrGrpAdminState versus tmnxDASvrGrpOperState reveals whether a delivery-appliance card group is administratively enabled but operationally down, indicating a card or software fault. It depends on the chassis/card-slot model elsewhere in the TIMETRA MIB tree, since tmnxDASvrGrpCardSlotNumber references a physical card slot. It is deployed on Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia 7750 SR routers equipped with CDN/Delivery Appliance blades in content-delivery network deployments. Engineers can download the TIMETRA-DA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll tmnxDASvrGrpTable (indexed by tmnxDASvrGrpIndex) and compare tmnxDASvrGrpAdminState to tmnxDASvrGrpOperState for each server group; a mismatch reveals a CDN delivery-appliance card that's enabled but not operational, likely due to a card fault or software initialization failure. tmnxDASvrGrpCardSlotNumber pinpoints which physical slot needs attention. tmnxDASvrGrpLastChanged would be checked to correlate the state change with a recent configuration or hardware event.

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor
Example using tmnxDAGrpBytesFromCache OID:
Select a Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent 7750 SR router with CDN Delivery Appliance blade (server-group admin/oper status) as the target host to create a monitor — the SNMP service should be up and running on it. Click New Monitor, then check SNMP Custom on the Favorites tab, click Next, and confirm the host. On the next page, click Select... to open the built-in SNMP MIB Browser and type tmnxDAGrpBytesFromCache into the Find box to locate it in the OID tree, selecting the specific row/instance you want to monitor since this is a table column, then select it and click OK. The value of tmnxDAGrpBytesFromCache indicates the number of bytes that are served from the cache. On the monitor's Main parameters page you can set the target's SNMP port (default 161), credentials, polling interval, and other settings — see the SNMP Monitor help for details. On the State conditions and Alerting tabs, configure when the monitor should change state and trigger an alert; since this is a Counter64-type OID, Value bounds is the most useful condition here — trigger an alert if the counter increases sharply between polls relative to its normal baseline, since an unexpected spike often reflects a real change in traffic or activity. Click Finish to create the monitor; you can adjust any parameter later.
