Description: Monitors Teldat router Frame Relay interface PVC status, DLCI activity, and protocol statistics.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TELDAT-MON-INTERF-FR-MIB?
TELDAT-MON-INTERF-FR-MIB is a Teldat proprietary monitoring MIB covering Frame Relay WAN interfaces on Teldat routers, reporting PVC (permanent virtual circuit) status, DLCI activity, and protocol-level statistics. Its data falls into the interfaces/performance-counter category, tracking the operational state of each configured Frame Relay circuit and the traffic/errors observed on it. This is directly a hardware/link status monitor: an admin uses it to see whether a given DLCI is up or down and to spot rising Frame Relay protocol error counts, which typically indicate a carrier-side circuit fault, misconfigured DLCI mapping, or a failing WAN interface card. It complements the standard IETF Frame Relay DTE MIB (RFC 2115) concepts, layering Teldat-specific detail on top of the same PVC/DLCI model. It is deployed on Teldat routers still carrying legacy Frame Relay WAN circuits, where PVC state visibility is essential for diagnosing carrier-side outages. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the TELDAT-MON-INTERF-FR-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-MON-INTERF-FR-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teldat router
Monitoring Examples
No sample object names were supplied for this module, but its function corresponds to a PVC/DLCI status table reporting per-circuit state and error counters, consistent with Teldat's other MON-INTERF-* modules. An administrator would poll DLCI status across all configured PVCs and see one flip from active to inactive when the carrier's Frame Relay switch drops the circuit. A rising frame-error counter on an otherwise-active PVC would point to a degraded physical circuit rather than an outright outage.
What Can Be Monitored
- Frame Relay PVC status (active/inactive)
- DLCI activity per circuit
- Frame Relay protocol error/statistics counters

RFC description
Vendor-private MIB for Teldat Frame Relay interfaces; monitors Frame Relay PVC parameters, LMI configuration, CIR monitoring, and traffic management.
Start monitoring Teldat router (Frame Relay PVC/DLCI status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
