Category: Teldat Router Management, Wireless and Cellular Networking
Description: Tracks GPRS interface attachment state, PDCP context, and mobile data session counters on Teldat routers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TELDAT-MON-INTERF-GPRS-MIB?
TELDAT-MON-INTERF-GPRS-MIB is a vendor MIB from Teldat, a Spanish maker of enterprise routers, for monitoring GPRS/cellular WAN interfaces fitted to Teldat routers. It exposes information about the installed cellular module (manufacturer, model, firmware), the inserted SIM card, and the current attachment/session state of the GPRS interface. Its purpose is squarely monitoring hardware and software status of the cellular modem: administrators check module firmware version, SIM identity, and interface state to confirm the mobile broadband link is healthy and correctly provisioned. It is a proprietary Teldat extension layered over the base SNMPv2-SMI/IF-MIB interface model rather than a standards-based cellular MIB. Typical use is in branch or remote-site routers where GPRS/3G serves as a primary or backup WAN uplink, monitored from a central NMS to detect modem or SIM failures. Engineers can download the TELDAT-MON-INTERF-GPRS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-MON-INTERF-GPRS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teldat router (GPRS/cellular WAN interface)
Monitoring Examples
An admin polls telGPRSInfoInterfaceTable (indexed by telGPRSInfoInterfaceIndex) to read telGPRSInfoInterfaceModuleFirmware and telGPRSInfoInterfaceModuleIMEI, confirming the correct cellular module and firmware are installed. Checking telGPRSInfoInterfaceSIMId/telGPRSInfoInterfaceSIMIcc verifies the right SIM is provisioned, while telGPRSStateInterfaceTable reveals whether the interface is currently attached to the mobile network, flagging a lost cellular WAN backup link.
What Can Be Monitored
- GPRS module manufacturer/model
- modem firmware version
- SIM IMSI/ICCID
- GPRS interface attachment state
- IMEI
