Category: Teldat Router Management

Description: Manages Teldat router master operational state, providing top-level control and status for all router subsystems.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TELDAT-MASTER-ROUTER-MIB?

The TELDAT-MASTER-ROUTER-MIB is a proprietary MIB from Teldat, a Spanish manufacturer of enterprise and carrier routers, and it provides top-level control and status for a router's dial/ISDN "station" subsystem alongside general master-router identity. It exposes configuration and operational data organized around a stations table, including per-station telephone number, IP address, connection state, ring count, silence detection, and disconnect cause. Monitoring this MIB lets an operator confirm the operational status of dial-up/backup links, detect abnormal disconnect causes, and verify the router's remote-access station configuration is functioning, which functions as a device/subsystem health check for that router's WAN dial interfaces. It is a self-contained enterprise MIB without heavy reliance on other standard MIBs beyond basic SNMP conventions. It is typically deployed in branch-office or backup-link scenarios where Teldat routers provide dial-backup or remote access over telephone lines. Engineers can download the TELDAT-MASTER-ROUTER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-MASTER-ROUTER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Teldat router (Master Router / C-series, dial-backup stations)

Monitoring Examples

Polling mrStationsTable / mrStationsEntry lets an administrator iterate configured dial stations and inspect stState to see whether each backup or remote-access line is connected, idle, or failed. stDisconnectCause reveals why a station last dropped (e.g. line failure vs. normal hangup), which helps diagnose flapping dial-backup links. mrMaxNumOfStations and mrFirstFreeEntry are useful for capacity planning when provisioning new dial stations on the master router.

What Can Be Monitored

  • dial station connection state
  • station telephone number and IP address
  • disconnect cause
  • ring count / silence length settings
  • available station table capacity
