Nortel-MsCarrier-MscPassport-AtmEbrMIB provides SNMP objects for ATM Enhanced Bit Rate (EBR) service management on Nortel MsCarrier MscPassport switches, a bandwidth-management feature for ATM Virtual Path Connections (VPCs) that allows bit rate to be adjusted based on subscribed recovery and optimization behavior. It defines row status/provisioning tables for VPC-source EBR overflow (Ov) components and for aggregate VPC EBR information, including flags indicating whether recovery and optimization features are subscribed for a given VPC. This lets an operator monitor whether EBR bandwidth-management components are provisioned and active on specific ATM VPCs, and confirm which bandwidth-adaptation behaviors are enabled -- a configuration and performance-monitoring function for the ATM switching fabric's bandwidth allocation logic. It depends on ATM Forum/ITU-T ATM VPC concepts for its semantics, in addition to the Passport RowStatus/StorageType conventions. Cross-referencing mscAtmIfVpcEbrInfoRowStatusTable provides aggregate EBR status for the VPC as a whole. A VPC configured for recovery but showing frequent overflow events would suggest the path is consistently exceeding its baseline bit rate.
