Category: WAN

Description: Monitors CSU/DSU line status and loopback settings on Micom WAN equipment.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is MICOM-CSU-MIB?

MICOM-CSU-MIB is a MICOM Communications (network/VPN configuration hardware) proprietary MIB configuring T1/E1 CSU (Channel Service Unit) line parameters. Its per-interface configuration table records line type/speed/build-out, TX idle code, TX/RX clock source, DS0 basic rate, local/remote/framer/payload loopback controls, trap enable, frame format, TX/RX zero-code and B7-zero suppression, transmit loop-up/loop-down actions, TX/RX HDB3 and CRC4 settings, and DS0 connection mapping, alongside a companion general CSU-configuration table. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm T1/E1 line framing/clocking settings and trigger a loopback test on a MICOM CSU. It is deployed on MICOM Communications T1/E1 CSU equipment. Engineers can download the MICOM-CSU-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in MICOM-CSU-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • MICOM Communications T1/E1 CSU equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator sets mcmT1E1CsuCfgLocalLoopback to trigger a loopback test and confirm mcmT1E1CsuCfgLineType matches the carrier's line settings on a MICOM CSU.

What Can Be Monitored

  • T1/E1 line configuration and loopback test control
