Module: MICOM-CSU-MIB

OID (symbolic): MICOM-CSU-MIB::mcmCsuStatusRxSignalMag

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.335.1.4.29.2.4.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: NAME = ; DESC = The value of this object indicates the 56K \ CSU receive signal magnitude expressed as \ the 'receiver slicer level'. This value \ is used in conjunction with the db Insertion \ Loss ('iL' from InsertLossLineLength object) \ to compute the signal magnitude as follows: \ Nyquist frequency loop attn (in db) = \ [(iL)**2 + 20log10(51/RxSignalMag)].; HELP = ; CAPABILITIES = ;

What is mcmCsuStatusRxSignalMag?

Reports the 56K CSU's receive signal magnitude as a raw 'receiver slicer level' value (0-255), which per the object's own DESCRIPTION is combined with the dB insertion-loss reading to compute the Nyquist-frequency loop attenuation. An admin or vendor support engineer uses this together with mcmCsuStatusInsertLossLineLength for detailed signal-quality analysis rather than reading it alone.
