Category: Vendor: Intel
Description: Intel Express 6000 family switch MIB providing SNMP management objects for chassis, ports, and VLANs.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Intel-6000-Switch-MIB?
Intel-6000-Switch-MIB is an Intel Corporation proprietary MIB for the Intel Express 6000-series switch, exposing base management-port networking configuration and switch housekeeping controls. Its objects cover the management port's IP address, netmask, default gateway, and broadcast address, alongside a maximum-MAC-address limit, statistics-clear and address-table-aging actions, a MIB-version identifier, and Telnet/syslog enable flags. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm the switch's management-port addressing and whether remote-access services (Telnet, syslog) are enabled. It is deployed on the Intel Express 6000-series switch. Engineers can download the Intel-6000-Switch-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Intel-6000-Switch-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Intel Express 6000-series switch
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks telnetEnable and syslogEnable on an Intel 6000-series switch as part of a security audit, confirming whether unused remote-management services are still active.
What Can Be Monitored
- management port addressing
- Telnet/syslog service enable state
