Description: Intel server baseboard MIB generation 7 providing SNMP objects for monitoring processor, memory, and BMC health on Intel server platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is INTEL-SERVER-BASEBOARD7?

INTEL-SERVER-BASEBOARD7 is an Intel proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 343, Server Management Software) for the Intel Server Baseboard SNMP subagent, monitoring baseboard hardware components and supporting sensor-threshold configuration. Its objects cover overall health status, platform description/ID, trap/set enable flags, manufacturer/product name/version/build/description, and chassis status — security state, boot state, thermal state, power state, lock state, keyboard/power-on/administrator password status, front-panel reset status, container type, part number, serial number, name, and asset tag. As a hardware-status MIB it lets an administrator watch a server's overall health status and chassis security/thermal state, and set sensor thresholds via SNMP SET. It is deployed on Intel server baseboards running the Server Management Software subagent. Engineers can download the INTEL-SERVER-BASEBOARD7 file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INTEL-SERVER-BASEBOARD7. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Intel server baseboards (Server Management Software)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator monitors systemManagementInfoOverallStatusHealth alongside chassisThermalState to catch a server baseboard reporting a degraded health or thermal condition before it triggers a hardware failure.
