coolingUnitRedundancyStatus

Module: INTEL-SERVER-BASEBOARD7

OID (symbolic): INTEL-SERVER-BASEBOARD7::coolingUnitRedundancyStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.2.10.3.5.600.10.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IntelRedundancyStatus

Access: read-only

Description: Gives the redundancy status of the Cooling Unit. 'Fully Redundan ' means that all of the configured redundancy is still available; 'Degraded Redundancy' means that some failures have been experienced but some reduced amount of redundancy is still available; 'Redundancy Lost' means that a sufficie t number of failures have been experienced that no redundancy is available and the next failure experienced within the Cooling Unit will cause overall Cooling Unit failure.

What is coolingUnitRedundancyStatus?

Reports whether the server's cooling (fan) redundancy is fully available, degraded (some fan failures but still some redundancy), or lost (no redundancy left, meaning the next fan failure causes an overall cooling failure), per the MIB's own detailed description. Facilities and ops teams treat degraded as an early warning to schedule fan replacement before it escalates to lost, which is an urgent hands-on issue.
