Category: Domain: WAN, Vendor: Intel
Description: Intel multipoint link MIB providing SNMP objects for managing multi-point WAN connections and aggregated link statistics.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is INTEL-MPLINK-MIB?
INTEL-MPLINK-MIB is a legacy Intel (built on INTEL-GEN-MIB) proprietary MIB reporting Multi-Link PPP (MP) service statistics across LAN and WAN entries. Its service table, keyed by number, records slot/plug number and name, attachment, provider, bytes sent/received (split upper/lower 32-bit halves), and a lock flag, while a LAN table records CRC errors, overrun, oversize (long) frames, overflow, alignment errors, out-of-sync frames, undersize (short) frames, and TX deferred/underrun counts. As a performance MIB it lets an administrator watch MP-link error rates on legacy Intel networking equipment. It is deployed on legacy Intel networking equipment (MP link). Engineers can download the INTEL-MPLINK-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INTEL-MPLINK-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy Intel networking equipment (MP link)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks mplLanRxCRCErrors and mplLanTxUnderrun to diagnose a degraded MP link on legacy Intel networking equipment.
What Can Be Monitored
- Multi-Link PPP error rates and traffic volume
