Category: Vendor: Intel
Description: Intel Express 110 stackable switch MIB providing SNMP management objects for port status and system configuration.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is INTEL-EXPRESS110-MIB?
INTEL-EXPRESS110-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB for Intel's Express 110 stackable Ethernet hub, providing management objects for stack topology, chassis segment configuration, and the unit's front-panel LCD display. It exposes the number of stacked chassis, per-chassis segment configuration and index, hub description strings, and LCD mode/sleep settings, plus reset controls. Its monitoring role centers on hardware/stack inventory and configuration status: how many units are stacked, each chassis's segment mode, and whether a reset has been issued, functioning as a hardware topology and configuration health check rather than deep sensor telemetry. It builds on RFC 1516-style hub MIB conventions, as reflected in the hubRFC1516Segment object. It is deployed on legacy Intel Express 110 stackable hubs in Ethernet wiring closets. Engineers can download the INTEL-EXPRESS110-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INTEL-EXPRESS110-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Intel Express 110 stackable hub/switch
Monitoring Examples
An admin reads hubNumberofStackedChassis together with chassisConfigTable/chassisConfigEntry keyed by chassisConfigTableIndex to confirm how many units are in a stack and each chassis's chassisSegmentMode. hubDescriptionString and hubLCDSleepText/hubLCDSleepTime reflect the front-panel LCD configuration, and an unexpected drop in hubNumberofStackedChassis would indicate a stack member has gone offline or been disconnected.
What Can Be Monitored
- number of stacked chassis
- chassis segment mode/configuration
- hub description string
- LCD display mode and sleep settings
- stack/chassis reset status
