Category: Device Management, Technology: Switching/L2

Description: Private MIB for Ethernet hub facilities management providing proprietary configuration and status objects for hub hardware.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Hub-facs-prvt?

Hub-facs-prvt is a legacy proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 22) configuring trap-destination management-station tables (up to 10 entries) for router and port-level trap delivery, plus basic system control. Its router-trap-address table records address, community, version, type, state, flag, and age with learning/aging enables, a port-trap-address table mirrors similar fields, and system objects cover a reset action, self-test level, and IP address/netmask/default-gateway. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm trap-destination configuration and basic network addressing on this legacy hub. It is deployed on legacy hub equipment (enterprise OID 22). Engineers can download the Hub-facs-prvt file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Hub-facs-prvt. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy hub equipment (enterprise OID 22)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks rTrapAddrTbl to confirm the correct trap-destination management stations are configured on this legacy hub.
