Description: HP ICF SNMP MIB for TR-069 CWMP (CPE WAN Management Protocol) client configuration and ACS server settings on HP ProCurve devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HPICF-TR069-MIB?

HPICF-TR069-MIB is an HP proprietary SNMP module for configuring the TR-069 (CPE WAN Management Protocol, CWMP) client feature on HP ProCurve devices, enabling remote management of the device by an Auto-Configuration Server (ACS). It exposes configuration objects for ACS connection parameters such as server URL, credentials, and periodic inform intervals used by the device's TR-069 client. Its role in status monitoring is confirming the software feature/connectivity status of the device's remote-management client, i.e., whether it is correctly configured and able to reach its ACS, which is a software-management-plane health check rather than a hardware sensor. It has a direct dependency on the TR-069/CWMP standard defined by the Broadband Forum, since the MIB is essentially a local configuration front-end for that protocol's client behavior. It is typically deployed in service-provider or managed-service environments where HP devices are remotely provisioned and monitored via a central ACS using TR-069. Engineers can download the HPICF-TR069-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HPICF-TR069-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • HP ProCurve device (TR-069/CWMP-managed)

Monitoring Examples

No sample objects were retrieved for this module, so specific object names cannot be confirmed, but based on its purpose it would expose objects for the ACS URL, authentication credentials, and inform-interval settings, plus likely a connection/registration status object. An administrator would check the ACS connectivity/status object to confirm the device is successfully checking in with the management server, since a device failing to report to its ACS would be invisible to the provider's centralized provisioning and monitoring system. This module is a remote-management configuration MIB rather than a hardware-health MIB.

What Can Be Monitored

  • ACS server configuration
  • TR-069 client connectivity/registration status
  • inform interval setting
