What Is CPQSERVICE-MIB?

CPQSERVICE-MIB is a legacy Compaq (later HP, enterprise OID 232, built on CPQHOST-MIB) proprietary MIB structuring service-incident notifications for Compaq Insight Manager. Its objects cover MIB revision, incident severity/status/information/event/unique-ID/time-of-original-event, source system name and IP address, ISEE (Insight Server Event Engine) incident information, incident identifier, the received trap OID and filter OID/value, up to three recommended-action strings, a self-repair instruction URL, event severity, analyzer system name, and up to several FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) list entries. As a notification MIB it lets an administrator receive a fully-triaged service incident — including recommended actions and affected FRUs — rather than a raw trap. It is deployed on legacy Compaq (HP) servers monitored via Compaq Insight Manager. Engineers can download the CPQSERVICE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CPQSERVICE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
