Description: Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch iSCSI QoS MIB for automatically prioritizing iSCSI storage traffic to ensure low-latency data paths.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is EdgeSwitch-QOS-ISCSI-MIB?
EdgeSwitch-QOS-ISCSI-MIB is a Ubiquiti Networks vendor MIB for the EdgeSwitch product line's iSCSI Flow Acceleration QoS package, which automatically detects and prioritizes iSCSI storage traffic to reduce latency for IP-based storage. It exposes global iSCSI acceleration settings (enable state, aging timeout, QoS type/marking values) as well as a per-target configuration table identifying specific iSCSI targets by TCP port, IP address, and target name. As a configuration/software-status MIB it lets an operator confirm which iSCSI targets are registered for acceleration and verify the QoS marking (VPT/DSCP) applied to their traffic — a target missing from agentIscsiFlowAccelerationTargetConfigTable, or acceleration showing disabled, would explain unexpectedly high storage-traffic latency. It relies on standard QoS marking concepts (802.1p VPT, DSCP) referenced directly in its own objects rather than a separate MIB dependency. It's typically deployed on Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch devices in networks running IP-based (iSCSI) storage traffic that need low-latency prioritization over a shared Ethernet fabric. Engineers can download the EdgeSwitch-QOS-ISCSI-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in EdgeSwitch-QOS-ISCSI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch (managed Ethernet switch)
Monitoring Examples
An admin would check agentIscsiFlowAccelerationEnable to confirm the feature is globally active and agentIscsiFlowAccelerationAgingTimeOut to see how long a flow stays classified as accelerated. Polling agentIscsiFlowAccelerationTargetConfigTable/Entry (agentIscsiFlowAccelerationTargetConfigAddr, agentIscsiFlowAccelerationTargetConfigTcpPort, agentIscsiFlowAccelerationTargetConfigName) would confirm which storage targets are configured for acceleration; a known iSCSI target missing from this table would mean its traffic isn't being prioritized, a likely cause of storage latency spikes.
What Can Be Monitored
- global iSCSI acceleration enable state
- flow aging timeout
- QoS marking type/value
- configured iSCSI target list (IP, port, name)
- CoS enable state
