Category: Network Monitoring (RMON), Quality of Service

Description: Collects and reports CRM traffic management system flow statistics, bandwidth utilization, and QoS metrics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CRMTRAFFICCOLLECTION-MIB?

CRMTRAFFICCOLLECTION-MIB is a private MIB (enterprise OID 210) configuring traffic-statistics collection intervals across multiple network layers (interface, ATM VPC/VCC, ISDN PRI, and Frame Relay interface/DLCI) on carrier access equipment. Its interval-configuration table records collection type, time, and how many measurement points to retain per layer, while a per-interface collection table records direction, interval, cumulative through-cell count, and up to five discarded-cell result/count pairs. As a configuration/performance MIB it lets an administrator confirm which layers have traffic collection enabled and review discarded-cell counts by cause. It is deployed on this vendor's carrier access equipment. Engineers can download the CRMTRAFFICCOLLECTION-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CRMTRAFFICCOLLECTION-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • NTT BA3000 ATM switch — identified via enterprise OID 210 (NTT), matching the confirmed attribution of the sibling CRMSVC-MIB module in the same private-enterprise family (multi-layer traffic-statistics collection)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator reviews crmTrCollectIfDisCells1 through DisCells5 for an ATM interface to break down discarded-cell causes when investigating a reported throughput shortfall.

What Can Be Monitored
