agentIscsiFlowAccelerationAgingTimeOut

Module: EdgeSwitch-QOS-ISCSI-MIB

OID (symbolic): EdgeSwitch-QOS-ISCSI-MIB::agentIscsiFlowAccelerationAgingTimeOut

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4413.1.1.3.5.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The time in seconds that should pass before session is aged out after the last frame detected for the session.

What is agentIscsiFlowAccelerationAgingTimeOut?

This read-write integer, ranging from 60 to 2592000 seconds, sets how long the switch waits after the last detected frame of an iSCSI session before aging that session out of its tracking tables. A longer timeout keeps idle iSCSI sessions and their acceleration state alive through brief traffic lulls, while a shorter one frees session and connection table resources faster. An admin with bursty iSCSI backup traffic that pauses for 10 minutes between transfers would set agentIscsiFlowAccelerationAgingTimeOut to at least 600 to avoid the session aging out mid-cycle.
