Category: Quality of Service, Vendor: Cabletron/Enterasys

Description: Supplies Cabletron's multimedia MIB objects for managing multimedia traffic and configuring QoS parameters.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CTMMIB?

CTMMIB is the Last Mile Gear CTM Master MIB (registered under enterprises.25868), a private MIB for managing a fixed-wireless/PoE 'master' distribution unit that combines GPS-disciplined timing, dual-input power monitoring, and per-port power delivery across up to eight ports. It exposes GPS/site identity objects (site, nSats for satellites in view, lastIP/lastTime for the last management login), primary and secondary power-supply status (pwrP, pwrS) with input voltages (voltsM1, voltsM2) and a circuit-breaker trip bitmask (cbTrip encoding which of up to eight ports has tripped), and per-port delivered power (portPwrM1 through portPwrM8, in tenths of a watt) alongside per-port sync/on-enable status bitmasks (portOnM, portSyncM). Auto-restart counters (trpCntGM1-8) and restart-failure counters (trpCntBM1-8) track how often the circuit-breaker auto-reset feature has fired and failed per port, and modeReqM records each port's configured type (Canopy, OFDM, or various PoE 802.3at modes). Because it centers on power delivery and circuit-breaker health for downstream radios/PoE devices rather than IP traffic, it is deployed on Last Mile Gear CTM master power/sync distribution units in fixed-wireless backhaul deployments for CTMMIB MIB based power and breaker-trip monitoring.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CTMMIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Last Mile Gear CTM master power/sync distribution units

Monitoring Examples

An operator polls cbTrip and trpCntBM1 through trpCntBM8 to check which ports have tripped their circuit breaker and how many auto-restart attempts have failed, cross-referencing portPwrM1-8 for abnormal per-port power draw; a non-zero cbTrip bit combined with a high trpCntBM value for that port would indicate a persistent short or overload the auto-reset feature could not clear.

What Can Be Monitored

  • primary/secondary power supply status and input voltage
  • GPS satellites-in-view count
  • per-port circuit-breaker trip bitmask
  • per-port delivered power
  • per-port auto-restart success/failure counters
  • per-port configured mode (Canopy/OFDM/PoE)
