What Is CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-DOMAIN-MIB?

CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-DOMAIN-MIB is part of Cisco's Unified Computing System (UCS) MIB family, modeling the "DOMAIN" management information package that tracks which chassis/domain-level features are enabled on a UCS fabric and their functional state. It exposes tables of chassis features, each with a distinguished name (Dn), relative name (Rn), fault aggregation summary, functional state, feature name/type, and a nested container table for feature-related sub-objects. This MIB is explicitly for monitoring the software/hardware feature status of a UCS domain -- e.g. confirming whether a given chassis feature is enabled and its functional/operational state, and rolling up associated fault aggregation. It is part of the broader CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-* MIB suite and depends on shared UCS management-information-model conventions (instance IDs, Dn/Rn naming) used across that family. Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll cucsDomainChassisFeatureTable, using cucsDomainChassisFeatureDn to identify a specific chassis and feature, then check cucsDomainChassisFeatureFunctionalState to see if that feature is operational, degraded, or disabled. The cucsDomainChassisFeatureFltAggr object aggregates fault severity for that feature, so a non-normal value alongside a degraded functional state would flag a chassis-level feature problem needing attention. The nested cucsDomainChassisFeatureContTable provides finer-grained sub-objects (via cucsDomainChassisFeatureContEntry/InstanceId) for features with multiple contained components.
