What Is CISCO-MGX82XX-ATM-UNI-PORT-MIB?
CISCO-MGX82XX-ATM-UNI-PORT-MIB is a Cisco vendor-specific MIB, applicable specifically to the MGX8250 and MGX8220 WAN switching platforms, that models the user-side ATM addressing and address-registration state of an ATM UNI (User Network Interface) port. It exposes atmAddressTable, indexed by axisAtmAddressPort and axisAtmAddressAtmAddress, reporting each ATM-layer address in effect on the UNI along with its axisAtmAddressStatus (valid/invalid), and atmNetPrefixTable, indexed by axisAtmNetPrefixPort and axisAtmNetPrefixPrefix, tracking network-prefix registration via axisAtmNetPrefixAdminStatus and axisAtmNetPrefixOperStatus (registering/registered/de-registering/failRegistering, etc.). The MIB's own history notes it supersedes the SMIv1 CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB, carrying forward the same UNI address-registration objects in SMIv2 form. This is useful for monitoring ATM address registration health on legacy MGX WAN switches — an address or prefix stuck in a failRegistering/failDe-registering operational state signals an ILMI registration problem between the switch and the attached ATM endpoint — and administrators can download the CISCO-MGX82XX-ATM-UNI-PORT-MIB file for use with their MIB browser when managing these platforms.
